A heartwarming encounter

Seeing children in ragged clothes running and playing, and parents making a living- cooking barbeque or even selling green mangoes and hanging rice or “puso” to suffice their everyday needs and fill their hungry stomachs, touched my heart. I can even remember a citizen from Guizo saying, “Kung magkalisod, igu-iguon lang jud ang kwarta.” What makes this so amazing is that despite a not so perfect life, they never complained. And that all they hope and pray for amidst their distress is for their children to be successful someday so they can live a better life.
